MindWorks Multimedia Celebrates New Office and Production Studios With Open House Friday Night |
- Durham, N.C.-MindWorks Multimedia will celebrate its new office and production studios in Building 5 of Golden Belt in downtown Durham with an open house Friday, July 17th in conjunction with Third Friday Durham from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The celebration also recognizes the business and financial milestones achieved over the last year.
MindWorks is an award-winning interactive multimedia and video production company with a reputation for excellence in instructional design. The move to the new 6264-square-foot building is the result of strategic growth and a corporate commitment to give back to the community.
In less than a year, MindWorks has tripled its staff, been named one of the top 100 small businesses in North Carolina and surpassed the total revenue of 2008 within the first six months of 2009.
“Despite the recession, we’ve had a very successful year,” said Greg Rowland, Mindworks’ president. “We’ve reached the million dollar milestone and expanded our services and client roster. We’ve also moved into a beautifully renovated old factory that is now home to a new video and photo production studio along with two Avid editing suites and an audio suite.”
As part of Third Friday Durham, MindWorks will host an exhibition of work by Durham artist Lisa Creed. One of Creed’s paintings titled “Down By the RR Tracks” will be raffled with all proceeds going to Urban Ministries of Durham, a community-based organization that has provided emergency services such as food, clothing, shelter and counseling to people in need in Durham since 1983. In addition to the artwork, attendees will be treated to live jazz as well as wine and cheese.
